My friend gave me a music CD to listen to today. I put the CD into the drive and put the DVD that was previously in the drive back in it’s case. When I fired up Banshee to play the audio CD, I noticed that it wasn’t showing up on my computer. I ejected the drive and it was empty. I thought, “Man, I’m losing my mind. I could have sworn I put it in here.” I spent the next half hour turning my room upside down, trying to figure out where I might have placed the CD.
I finally gave up and said to myself, “I guess my laptop just ate the CD.” Then I thought, “Wait a minute, what if it did?” I popped open the tray and got a flashlight to see if it might have gotten wedged inside or something, and sure enough…
