Look what I got in the mail today…
I won this a couple of weeks ago when I took part in Amped. I need programs like Photoshop and Illustrator for a lot of my courses here (I’m majoring in computational media at Georgia Tech), but didn’t feel like shelling out a few hundred bucks to buy them. (And I don’t steal pirate software.) I’ve been making do with GIMP and Inkscape at home–and yes, they’ve been a great help, and I don’t let their limitations limit my creativity, thank you very much–and going to the computer labs when I absolutely Adobe’s programs (which isn’t as often as you might think), but now I can use the apps at my own convenience. Can’t wait to try them out!
